Successful Blog Marketing Tips

Successful Blog Marketing Tips

So you have a blog and want to market it and make it a successful blog. How do you do this? How do you go about getting your blog out there to be seen and known by others? How do you draw readers and keep them coming back for more? There are many ways to get your blog out there and known by others. This can be known as challenging for some and just quite easy for others. If you have ever had a successful blog before then you know what it takes. You are not going to get anywhere by just setting up a blog and hoping that people will find it and read it. You are not going to gain any links, nor a higher search engine ranking by just having a blog. This is all part of blog marketing. Anyone can do it, even you.

Successful blog marketing tip number one. When you first create a blog, of course it is unheard of. No one knows anything about the blog unless you give them the link and show it to them. However, for a new blog that has never been seen, there are many ways to get it out there and known. You just need to know how. The first thing that you can do is to allow RSS feeds be taken from your blog. Allow other websites and blogs to publish your same exact blog. When you do this, they are giving you a link back to your blog, and also telling their readers all about your blog. You will get more traffic than ever with this tool. RSS feeds are wonderful for promoting and getting your blog out there.

Blog marketing tip number two. Update your blog frequently. We can not put enough emphasis on this tip. If you tell your readers that you are going to update your blog daily, then do it. If you tell them that you will be writing in your blog weekly, don’t let them down. Your readers are what makes your blog successful. You may not realize this in the beginning, and you will have few readers in the beginning as well, but you will eventually build a readership base and have people checking out your blog regularly. Maybe you do not plan on telling your readers how often you will update your blog. That is ok too. However, think about this, if you were reading a blog on a weekly basis, and you expected to see the blog that you like to read updated at least once a week, you would be very disappointed to find out that it was not. Sure, things happen that might prevent you from updating, and that is expected, and excused, but week after week can hurt you and cause you to lose readers.

Tip number three. While you are working on your readership base, and trying to gain readers, you are going to find that commenting on blogs that are relevant to yours will surely help. Find a blog that is on the same topic to yours, or close to it and leave comments. You can also make a track back with your blog postings to comment on your own blog. Doing so will probably more than likely give someone else the urge to track back to your blog. Which will be good for it as well. Commenting on blogs that get many comments will make yours be seen by those interested in that market. You will gain traffic and readers that way, and it is easy as well as free.

The fourth blog marketing tip. Learn and apply SEO to your blogs. SEO is search engine optimization. You are going to find that if you want your blog to go anywhere, you need SEO, and you need to know how to use it to the advantage of your blog. Just like a website, a blog will be better off optimized.

Internet Style Affiliate Marketing Tips

If you are one of the thousands of people looking for a way to supplement your income, or endeavoring to replace the income you lost when you were laid off. You will be happy to know that thanks to the advances in technology and the World Wide Web you can begin to create an income in a very short period of time. But you must be willing to work at it. If you are prepared to do just that; work that is, this article will give you some tips that will help you to get a head start on affiliate marketing Internet style.

Affiliate Marketing Background

Just so you know, affiliate sales have been around for centuries and centuries. However, back then the guy who created the product or bought the product wholesale, contracted with the guy who owned a backpack, tent or horse and buggy to go around the countryside selling the product. Once it was sold the owner of the product and the guy who he contracted with settled up. The owner then paid the contractor a percentage of the profits from the sale. In other words the contractor was a commissioned salesman. Shocker! Yep affiliate marketing is commissioned sales.

Don’t worry it’s not as bad as it sounds. Let me introduce you to Ken. Ken was 9 years old when he first became a commissioned salesman (sorry ladies but that’s what it was called back then). Ken saw an ad in a comic book that needed someone to sale Christmas Cards on a percentage basis. Back then it didn’t cost any money for him to sign up. He signed up and the company sent him a top notch demonstration folder of Christmas cards.

To make a long story short Ken sold Christmas cards from August through the end of November and he made $250.00, which was unheard of for a 9 year old in the 1950′s. By the way that kid named Ken is me. But I didn’t tell you this story to brag, I wanted to make a point about commissioned sales (affiliate marketing). If a 9 year old kid can learn how to do it; then you can. Now let’s move on to the Tips about affiliate marketing.

What kind of money can be made by an affiliate marketer internet style?

Tip 1: In order to put the maximum amount of money you can into your pocket it is important to choose a top notch product; just like I did when I was 9 years old.

If you’re just starting out it’s very easy to determine what’s good and not so good, by using the internet. Simply go to your favorite search engine, type in the name of the product (e.g. “Hood TV reviews”) and bam usually you will have more reviews than you can shake a stick at. You can use this technique to check out any affiliate product.

Tip 2: Going along with Tip 1 you can also check out the actual affiliate program you want to promote. Use the Search Engines and type in (e.g. “Ken’s Baloney Affiliate Program review/reviews”) and you can find out if Ken is a good payer of his commissions or if people say he is a scoundrel and a cheat.

Tip 3: Perhaps the most important tip I can give you from my perspective is don’t pay to join an affiliate program. There are way too many top notch affiliate programs it doesn’t cost a dime to join.

Tip 4: You can check out places such as clickbank.com, associateprograms.com, paydotcom.com, commissionjunction.com and many others to find good programs to make affiliate money in.

Affiliate Marketing Internet style is not difficult to do. But like anything else that is worthwhile you must be willing to work at it. One last tip for you, the better programs will provide the necessary tools for you to promote their product and not charge you a thing for the use of them. You can’t any better than that.
